Our Charitable Contribution: The Hansen Foundation, Inc.
Located at 411 Aloe Street in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, The
Hansen House treats the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction,
providing clients with the tools and skills needed to live productive
and responsible lives. There is a Hansen House for men and an adjacent
Hansen House for women. Each facility includes 29 beds, a large kitchen,
dining room, living room, six bathrooms, administrative offices, and
meeting rooms for individual and group counseling. The development of a
much-needed addiction rehabilitation facility in Atlantic County was the
long-time dream of Jennifer Hansen, daughter of Roger Hansen and
great-granddaughter of Ole Hansen. Both Hansen facilities were developed
by Ole Hansen and Sons.
These facilities serve the indigent population and operate through state and county grants, resident rents and organization fund raising. Hansen House is a subsidiary of the Hansen Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Serenity House in Absecon, New Jersey and
Serenity House Meadows in Pleasantville, New Jersey are transitional
sober-living houses for women. Residents reside in a supportive, drug
& alcohol free environment while learning how to become responsible
members of the community.
The Serenity Houses are almost self-supporting through resident rents however, annually we operate at an approximate $30,000 deficit which requires us to continuously raise funds to support our efforts.
